Go behind the scenes for an up-close encounter with some of the Zoos largest and most beloved residents – the Asian Elephants! This 30 minute experience is led by an OKC Zoo Brand Ambassador, as well as one of the expert caretakers from the Zoo’s pachyderm team. Guests will learn more about the elephant herd dynamics, their habitat, unique personalities and what the Zoo is doing to help them thrive in their habitat as well as the world. Guests must sign a waiver in the Guest Services office prior to the encounter. Children age 0-2 are free but must be held by parent or guardian the entire time during the Wild Encounter. Parents are limited to bringing in one child under 5 for each guardian over the age of 18. Groups meet near the gate in Sanctuary Asia, just before the Elephant Pavilion, at 2:30 p.m.
